Timid Tectons

Timid Tectons

Britain sits in the middle of its plate,
A long way from any volcanoes.
Though Giant’s Causeway and Arthur’s Seat
Remind us we once had those.
Britain sits where the crusts are thick,
Though they weren’t, as the Great Glen shows.
And Lincoln lost its cathedral once
When a remnant came to blows.
